The firm consists of Daniel C. Parri, Esq. a practicing attorney since 2007, Raymond L. Parri, a practicing attorney from 1962 through 2009. JoAnn Reinhardt (Estate & Medicaid Planning Assistant) who has been with the firm for over eight years, and Marie Gallant (Probate & Guardianship Assistant) who has only been with the firm over a year now, but brings over 20 years experience. The firm handles various matters including elder law, Medicaid planning and eligibility issues, individual and pooled trusts, disability planning, s, wills trusts, powers of attorney, health care advance directives, estate and trust administration, guardianships and estate planning. In addition the firm specializes in assisting personal injury attorneys in preserving benefits and assets for their clients.
About Daniel C. Parri, Esq.
Dan has been practicing since 2007. He graduated from Stetson University, College of Law. Prior to attending law school, Dan received his Masters degree in Athletic Administration from Marshall University and Bachelors degree from University of South Florida. Dan is a member of the Florida and Clearwater Bar Associations and chair of the Clearwater Bar’s Elder Law Section. Dan is the Executive Director and Florida legal counsel for Charities Pooled Trust, a dba of the Institute for Health Care Advocacy, Inc, a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization which among other things sponsors special needs pooled trusts across the United States for individuals receiving Medicaid and SSI. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Guardian Association of Pinellas County and an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Florida Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar and Academy of Special Needs Planners. Prior to being admitted to the Bar, Dan worked with the Institute’s pooled trust programs, worked with the Clearwater Phillies (now Threshers) and worked for the Florida Department of Corrections as a felony probation officer.
In January of 2010 Dan opened The Parri Law Firm, PLLC as his father retired and closed the law offices of Raymond L. Parri, PA. Dan is the proud caretaker of two Dalmatians, Pandora and Apollo. Both rescues, Pandora from Georgia and Apollo from Alabama. Black clothing is not recommended as the spots make periodic visits to the office.
About Raymond L. Parri
Ray has been an attorney was a practicing attorney 1962 until 2009. He was nationally certified as an Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation and was Board Certified in Elder Law from The Florida Bar. Although Ray is no longer practicing, he continues to assist the firm as a consultant imparting his wisdom and experience on his son Dan. Ray previously served as treasurer, secretary and on the Executive Council of The Florida Bar elder Law Section. He is a past president of the Academy of Florida Bar Elder Law Attorneys and is currently serving on The Florida Bar Elder Law Section and AFELA Medicaid Task Force. Ray has served as the first president of the Better Living Consortium which is affiliated with the District Area Agency on Aging (the organization serves Pinellas and Pasco counties of Florida). He has been an adjunct professor at Stetson University of Law, teaching Elder Law. Ray has served as chair of NAELA’S long term care task force and the Practice Management Special Interest Group and on the NAELA Government Benefits Task Force. Ray is also the founder and a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute.
Over the years, Ray has written numerous published articles in both professional and lay publications on elder law and estate planning subjects. He has also been a speaker for professional organizations on local, state, and national levels, including continuing education for attorneys, accountants, insurance groups, health care providers and medical personnel as well as lay groups such as support groups, disabled persons and senior citizens and other civic organizations.
